TATTOO COMPETITION RULES AND REGULATIONS
  1. Competition is open to all Filipino and Foreign Tattoo Artists/Collectors with or without affiliation to any tattoo organization.
  2. One (1) tattoo design could only compete in 1 category but a Tattoo Artist/Collector could compete in any applicable categories using different tattoo designs.
  3. All tattoo entries excluding entries under "Tattoo of the Day" and “On-the-Spot: Cover-up” must be totally healed during the time of judging. The tattoo should not bear any scabs and flakes.
  4. Screening
    1. All tattoo entries from local residents must be screened at Skinworkz Tattoo and Body Piercing, located at Pasilyo D-19 Cartimar Arcade, Pasay City.
    2. Screening is from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday to Saturday, starting July 15 to September 19, 2010. Look for Khamil Batuigas.
    3. An entry is considered official and valid (“Official Entry”) once it has passed the screening and the registration fee has been settled.
    4. Registration fee is P250 per entry.
    5. In the event that a tattoo category has less than five (5) official entries, the category shall be removed and the registration fee shall be made refundable.
    6. All tattoo entries that have won on previous Dutdutan events are not eligible for re-entry.
  5. All participating Tattoo Artists, collectors/models are required to pay the entrance fee per day. Only the participants of the Tattoo the Day, who have rented booth space, shall be exempted from the entrance fees.
  6. Cancellation
    1. Cancellation of registered entries and/or request for change of category shall not be accepted once the tattoo entry is "officially registered".
    2. Cancellation of reservations shall make any down payment made by the Tattoo Artist as cancellation fee and non-refundable.
  7. The organizers have the right to disqualify any contestant who displays untoward behavior during the competition.

On the Spot: Cover-Up Mechanics

  1. Tattoo Artist shall cover an existing tattoo.
  2. Cover-up competition shall start upon the official go-signal of the organizers and upon verification of the tattoo for cover-up.
  3. Cover-up needs to be done during the event within the event premises and should be finished on the set deadline.
  4. Profile and picture of the model should be submitted during screening together with the picture of his/her tattoo before cover-up. The profile and pictures should be submitted in a short bond paper size.
  5. Only the Tattoo Artists that have rented booth space shall be allowed to participate in this category.
  6. Tattoo Artists competing under this category are required to bring their own model, additional lighting, tattoo equipment, etc.
  7. All the materials that will be used under this category must be 100% disposable.

 

Tattoo of the Day

  1. Tattoo Artist could select any design under this category, which he/she shall apply during the event.
  2. Tattoo should be finished on or before the set deadline.
  3. Only the Tattoo Artists that have rented booth space shall be allowed to participate in this category.
  4. Tattoo Artists competing under this category are required to bring their own model, additional lighting, tattoo equipment, etc.
  5. All the materials that will be used under this category must be 100% disposable.
  6. For the Tattoo of the Day: Portrait
    1. Picture of the person/s should be submitted during registration.
    2. Inspiration should be an existing person or character, living or deceased.
    3. The picture of inspiration should also be shown during the time of judging.
